In and around Bowness-on-Windermere, there is an abundance of things to do. During the day you can visit the Beatrix Potter Exhibition and The Old Laundry Theatre. Why not go out on the lake itself on one of the various types of boats available for hire or go on a Windermere Lake Cruise. Later, you can visit the Steamboat Museum.

A short stroll from the guest house will take you to the many restaurants, shops and bars in the town. Being in the Lake District National Park there are many areas of outstanding natural beauty that can be explored on foot or via transport. Where ever you choose to go there is not a more central base than Bowness on Windermere.

We aim to make you feel welcome and relaxed throughout your stay and our attention to detail and friendly hospitality will make you want to return time and again in the future.

Our bed and breakfast guest house is well connected with the rest of the Lake District National Park: The Lake district is served by the Virgin train network. Windemere railway station connects us with Manchester and Preston; local buses connect us to the rest of this beautiful landscape; then there’s the famed Windermere lake cruises.

London Euston to Oxenholme is now only 2 hours 45 minutes.
